Dallas Weddings Archives -

Welcome to my blog—my journal about my recent work, faith, wedding planning tips, and education for photographers. Grab a cup of coffee and stay awhile!

WELCOME, I'M Alison!

I know you’re ready to jump straight into the fun stuff like choosing a venue or trying on wedding dresses, but there’s one thing you have to tackle first… Your wedding budget.

First of all, CONGRATS on your recent engagement! This season of life is so special, and I’m so excited for you! I’m sure your mind is already racing with all the things that need to be planned, and the first thing to tackle is finding your vendors! To make this a little easier, I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite Dallas wedding vendors—from venues, to florists, to planners!—to give you a great place to get started!

It’s been awhile since I shared one of my editorial shoots from The Olana! This was my very last shoot of the day and it was FREEZING. The poor model was shaking and my fingers were numb and hardly able to press the button on my camera! But despite the less than ideal weather circumstances, this shoot was absolutely stunning and was one of my favorites!

I can’t even begin to tell you how many newly-engaged girls have reached out to me for their wedding photography and shared that they’re feeling super overwhelmed by the planning process. Maybe they don’t have the time to figure everything out on their own, or maybe they don’t even know where to begin!

I am so excited to share these photos from Hanah & Keon’s GORGEOUS springtime wedding!! These two make one of the sweetest couples I have ever met, and I just feel SO honored to have been a part of their big day!

Remi & Gavin were married at The Adolphus Hotel on Leap Day, surrounded by just their closest friends and family. This day was just pure perfection—from the stunning venue, Gavin’s reaction seeing Remi walk down the aisle, Remi’s three amazing bridal attire looks (including the most beautiful handmade Italian cathedral veil I’ve ever seen), and the horse-drawn carriage exit! Every little detail was intentional and made for a truly unforgettable day.

Caylee & Kaleb have been dating since they were in MIDDLE SCHOOL, so you know they’ve been waiting for this day for a long time!! February weddings are a bit unpredictable weather-wise, but we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect, sunny, warm day to celebrate their marriage!

I feel like I’m just now getting caught up on blogging so many of my sessions and weddings from the past couple of months! The past two weeks or so have been slower which I am SO grateful for, and I took a much-needed break from showing up on the Internet and social media as much as I normally do! Things are about to get crazy again this week with two weddings & three engagement sessions, but I feel much more energized and ready to handle all the coming work now!

Emilee & Connor’s cozy wedding at Dove Ridge Vineyard in Weatherford, Texas, was the perfect way to do a southern winter wedding.
