If you’re reading this post, then you’ve probably already seen the updated website design! I’m so excited about it and think it’s the perfect compliment to some of the exciting new things that are in store for my business. I’m a big believer in lifelong education, plus I miss learning new things now that I’m done with school! I recently enrolled in a new marketing course that explained in-depth how to go about finding our ideal couples we want to work with and speaking directly to them. It’s a concept I’ve heard about from so many different educators, but truthfully, I’d never sat down and defined who my ideal brides are.

2019 was so good to me. There were some tough and scary seasons (but what year doesn’t have those?), but 2019 was filled with so much joy, purpose, and excitement. This past year was full of huge life changes and milestone moments. I graduated from college, moved to Dallas, went full time with my business, went to Iceland, planned our wedding, and got married! As some of you know, I struggle with anxiety and I half expected to have to deal with that a lot this year with all the big changes, but by the grace of God, I didn’t! Normally, when the end of the year comes, I focus more on what lies ahead in the following 365 days rather than what just happened. But this year was different. I think for the first time in a long time, I slowed down and took a second to appreciate and give thanks for all the blessings God brought in 2019.

I’m finally back with Part 3 of 3 of our wedding recap! If you missed the earlier posts, you can find Part 1 here and Part 2 here! Today I’m sharing a few images from our honeymoon in Maine!

Hudson and I had talked about going to Canada for our honeymoon and visiting some of the national parks up there, but once we set our date for November, we decided to reconsider our options 😂 Neither of us are really beach people either, so we were struggling to think of someplace to go that wasn’t tropical and wouldn’t be freezing cold!

Hudson’s parents’ had visited Kennebunk, Maine before and suggested it when we were brainstorming some ideas, and it was the perfect option for us! We stayed at the beautiful White Barn Inn in Kennebunkport and it was absolute perfection!!! The weather was a bit chilly, but it was typically a high of 40°F each day which we loved!

Today I’m talking about the BEST part of our wedding experience—the wedding itself! A couple of weeks ago I shared Part 1 of our wedding (which you can find here) that covered some of the events leading up to the wedding! Hudson and I had been looking forward to this day for SO LONG. Part […]

In case you didn’t know, Hudson and I got married on November 1!!! It was most DEFINITELY the best day of my life!!! We’d been engaged for a little less than a year, but we’ve been looking forward to this day for much longer than that! I wanted to write about our wedding and the […]

I have been dying to go to Iceland since high school, and it finally happened!!! One of my best friends (and maids-of-honor!) Liz reached out to me several months ago and said her friend Courtney had found super cheap plane tickets to Iceland. Then they asked if I wanted to go, and of course, I said yes!

We did a ton of research before we left and planned a detailed yet flexible 12-day timeline for our trip. And on June 12, we packed our bags and flew to Iceland! It was the most incredible trip of my life, and I am still so blown away by all the beautiful things we saw. It may sound cliché, but I was in awe of God and His creation throughout our trip!

Photos by Hannah Haston Photography I’m writing this post a few days early, but by the time it goes live, I’ll have a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Political Science from the best school, Baylor University! It’s such a cliché, but college really was the best four years of my life! Some of […]

Photos by Angel Owens Photography I get asked all the time how Hudson and I met and how he proposed, and I just realized I never shared about it on the blog! I think it’s really important to connect with the couples I work with on a personal level, and that requires that I have […]
