Private Photo Editing for Photographers: Why You Should Outsource!

Education

A couple of months ago, I was talking with a photographer friend of mine who was close to tears as she told me about how busy she was. She had tons of weddings and portrait sessions piling up that needed to be edited, and she was staying up into the early morning hours every day trying to get it all done. Between photographing weddings and portrait sessions and editing all those images, she felt like she hadn’t had any quality time with her husband or friends in ages.

Fall Wedding at The Nest at Ruth Farms

Weddings

This was such a stunning October wedding at The Nest at Ruth Farms! I loved how Katelyn & Chris put their own spin on a fall-themed wedding day. From their emotional first look under the trees to the sun-soaked ceremony in front of the floral-covered cross, this day was filled with so much joy! Check out some of my favorite images from their autumnal wedding at The Nest at Ruth Farms below!

Winter Wedding Editorial at The Adolphus

Weddings

I’m so excited to finally share photos from this breathtaking wedding editorial at The Adolphus Hotel. This shoot had the most incredible vendor team, and what they created was nothing short of magic! With Christmas just around the corner, I can’t stop thinking about how incredible this color palette would look for a winter wedding! The gorgeous shades of red and gold gives it that holiday feeling, while the addition of the sage and soft pinks prevents it from being too literal.

Personal

I think we can all agree that 2020 has been pretty rough. Whether you’ve struggled financially, mentally, or with your physical health, we’ve all gone through the ringer this year. But I’ve found that during the most difficult seasons, the best way to stay positive and hopeful is through thanksgiving, gratitude, and loving those around you.

Brighton Abbey Wedding Venue Editorial

Weddings

Brighton Abbey is a brand new wedding venue in the DFW area, and it is incredible! The owners of the venue also own the gorgeous Knotting Hill Place venue and renovated the building in a similar style. While every part of the venue is beautiful, the light-filled chapel has to be my favorite part!

Engagements

I had so much fun photographing Danielle and Cole’s engagement session at Flippen Park! They brought their adorable pup, Hazel, along with them, and we had so much fun shooting at this gorgeous location and enjoying the fall weather. Check out some of my favorite photos from Danielle and Cole’s fall Flippen Park engagement session!

Fall Wedding at The Grand Ivory

Weddings

Miranda and Tomás’ fall wedding at The Grand Ivory in Leonard, Texas was such a perfect day. This was one of the first days in 2020 with weather that really felt like fall. When I arrived at the venue and saw all the beautiful colors and decor (which Miranda made entirely on her own!), I knew it was going to be such a lovely day. To make it even better, Miranda and Tomás are such incredible people, and getting to hear their love story from the people closest to them was so special.

Wedding Photography Styles: The Complete Guide

For Brides

Deciding on a photographer to capture your wedding day is no small task. There are so many things to think about, and you want to make sure you do your homework before making this big decision. I know you’ve probably read this on every photographer’s website, but it doesn’t make what I’m about to say any less true—your photographs are the only thing you get to keep after the wedding day (besides your spouse). It’s worth spending some time thinking through what you want out of your photography experience and identify what’s important to you.
